Manicure Monday: Feeling A Little Jaded

It’s Monday…already!!! And I swear it feels like the weekend just flew by! Isn’t that always the case…weekdays move at a snail’s pace but the weekend ends before you can blink.

Jaded

We didn’t do a whole lot, which I enjoyed. Sometimes it feels good just not to have anything pressing to do. I did get a chance to squeeze in a workout with my oldest son and two movie nights with the fam. And late last night I managed to squeeze in a little manicure me time….

I decided to try out one of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes from my most recent Influenster Vox Box. I went with my favorite of the three…Jaded. This shade is gorgeous! Initially I was slightly disappointed because it went on so sheer but after the second coat, I was more than pleased with the color payoff.

The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes offer 7 benefits of a salon manicure in 1 bottle:

  • Base Coat
  • Strengthener
  • Growth Treatment
  • Color
  • Top Coat
  • Chip Resistant
  • Gel Shine

It’s been a while since I’ve polished my nails and I’m really loving this shade. I’ve used the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes before and the formula is great. And if you haven’t tried them, I highly recommend that you do…the wide flat brush is amazing!

What do you think of Jaded by Sally Hansen? Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes yet? What color are you rocking on your nails today?

Just Another MANICure Monday: Didn’t Make the Cut

I hope y’all enjoyed your Mother’s Day weekend. I had a chance to visit my folks and my grandparents which is always a treat. Since I was out-of-town, I didn’t get a chance or even feel like doing anything extra special with my nails. I ended up rocking a pretty neutral nail polish…a little on the blah side and not really worth sharing in my opinion. So this weeks MANICure Monday post is going to be a little different. I’ve decided to share the mani’s that didn’t quite make the Just Another MANICure Monday list for whatever reason…

This is one of my favs and I'm not sure why I never posted it.

Just Another MANICure Monday: Surrel Appeal

Well the weekend has officially come and gone….I spent most of my Saturday morning hitting up a few yard sales at some local churches in my area. And yes, I scored BIG. One of the churches has a semi-annual yard sale with “fill-a-bag” (a paper bag that is) with clothes only for $8. So you already know your girl was rolling and stuffing clothes in the bag to the max….lol. I spent the rest of my weekend Spring Cleaning. All I can say is that the weekend flew by and I still have tons of chores that I need to get done. Oh well the story of my life, I guess. But in the midst of everything, I did get a chance to do my nails.

I realized once I was done polishing my nails that this week’s polish choice was very similar to what I had on last week. Apparently I have a thing for hot pink/coral shades. However this week I decided to add an accent nail using my fav nude polish and a little glitter. I really like it so you’ll more than likely be seeing it again real soon. Check out this week’s MANICure and let me know what you think….

So what do you think of the accent nail? I like the silver and gold contrast against the nude polish. Like I said you’ll probably be seeing it again soon…lol. To see even more cute MANICures check out Lipgloss & Binky, my girl MiMi is hosting this weeks Just Another MANICure Monday link-up.

Just Another MANICure Monday: Spring Break Edition

Woot! It’s Spring Break! No early mornings and no homework for the next few days! I’m probably more excited than the kids…lol.

Well this year we decided to hit the road and take the kids on a mini vacation. And of course I had to makes run to Walmart to make sure we had all of our travel essentials. While walking the cosmetics isle I came upon this gorgeous teal blue color by Pure Ice. Since a fresh mani is a necessity while traveling (I’m sure the hubs would disagree), I couldn’t pass it up.

I am notorious for polishing my nails in the car especially on road trips. The hates it and swears its killing him & the boys. But who has time to squeeze in a mani when you have pack and besides it guarantees a fresh mani every time.

Just Another MANICure Monday

WooHoo! I’m back as promised! Like I mentioned is yesterday’s post, I really missed y’all and it feels good to get back to blogging. And I even had a chance to give myself a little mani this weekend.

Earlier this week while on Pinterest (which I hope your following me), I came across a pin that mentioned using the Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat to help prolong your at home mani. Well I didn’t waste any time, I headed to Sally Beauty on Saturday and picked some up. I’ve been having a little Spring Fever lately so I had the hardest time deciding what shade to put on my nails….I wanted something bright but too out there (if you know what I mean). Anywho, I ended up chosing a purple hue by Wet’n Wild, nothing fancy and of course I used the Gelous as my top coat.

Well the verdict is still out on the Gelous but I will mention that it takes forever to dry. So make sure you have time if you decide to give it a try. And if you want to see more Manicure Monday looks, check out my girl MiMi of Lipgloss & Binky, this week’s host of Just Another NANICure Monday.

Just Another MANICure Monday: Ebony Hates Chris and Plaid

Well it has been a minute since I did a MANICure Monday post…I haven’t really had the time to polish my nails and I haven’t been feeling too creative either. But I had a little extra time on my hands last night plus the Nakamichi Nail Foil Strips that I were in this months My Shade of Brown Pillow Box that I posted about here, so I decided to treat my self to a little mani. Check it out….

Just Another MANICure Monday: Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas Eve

I absolutely love everything about Christmas and I can’t wait until tomorrow! I swear I’m worse than my kiddos…looking up under the tree counting the presents. LOL

This week’s MANICure Monday is totally Christmas inspired and I think it may be my favorite mani to date. I used six different polishes (pictured below) to create this look: Pure Ice in Frosted Ice Platinum; Claire’s Polish in Chunky Silver; Jordana Nail Polish in Red Silk; Jordana Glitters Nail Polish in Red Flash; Milani Nail Art Polish in Art of Silver and L.A. Colors Art Deco in Red Glitter.

I’ve been finding so much nailspiration from this weekly blog hop and it’s so much fun seeing what everyone comes up with each week. I’m so glad that Effie Lynn and Mimi of Lipgloss & Binky decided to team up!

Just Another MANICure Monday

Things have been so busy and crazy around here over the past few weeks, that I have been too exhausted to even polsih my nails. But on last night things seemed to finally calm down and I had a chance to treat myself to a much-needed mani. And if you have been following my blog for a while or seen my pictures on Instagram then you know how much I love a cute mani.

What makes this particular mani even more special is that it is inspired by my fellow BLMgirls Effie Lynn of LA Lynns and Mimi of Lipgloss and Binky. Over the past few weeks the two of them have teamed up and created MANICure Monday, which is weekly blog hop featuring manicures. I absolutely loved the idea and have found so much inspiration that I decided to participate this week. Check it out my MANICure Monday….
