Free Beauty Events: January – March 2014

Y’all know I love freebies and giveaways, right! And if you’ve been following the blog for a while then you know how much I love sharing about Free Beauty Events!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted about them, so just in case I’ll refresh your memory about Free Beauty Events…

Each month Free Beauty Events post a listing of all the free events, like makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. Finding what events may be happening in your area is easy! All you do is enter your zip code over on Free Beauty Events and viola! A list of FREE events in your area will appear.

And if you host free events similar to the ones found on their site you can have you event featured on the there too. And it’s FREE! Just submit a form with your contact info and details of the event. Again viola! Both processes are super easy and did I mention that they were FREE!

But the icing on the cake for me is that Free Beauty Events also gives it’s readers a chance to win prizes each quarter. Check out what they are giving away the first quarter of 2014…

This quarter Free Beauty Events will be giving away 5 prizes! So that means you have not 1 but 5 chances of winning (the odds are in your favor)! Y’all know that I love makeup! So when I was offered the opportunity to check out the Lip Factory Inc. Beauty Box, I just couldn’t refuse! I was shipped the October box and I received within three days of being contacted. *insert thumbs up here* Blame me for posting about it late but this week has been beyond hectic but I digress…the one highlight for sure, was my Lip Factory Inc. Beauty Box.

What is Lip Factory Inc.?
Lip Factory Inc. isn’t just your typical monthly beauty box subscription service…each month around the 4th of each month Lip Factory Inc. ships 5 to 7 beauty products in its Beauty Kit to its subscribers. And “although your kit may include a full face of makeup products their focus is on your lips!” Hence the name Lip Factory Inc.! So each month you can expect to have various types lip products, like lip glosses, lip sticks, lip liners and lip therapy products, included in your kit each month. Lip Factory Inc.’s mission is to “help you look and feel beautiful as well as help you save money.” And let me just say I’m all for a company that wants to help me save money…being the frugal shopper that I am, lol. So how much is it right? For $22/month you can have the Lip Factory Inc. Beauty Box shipped to your door. And yes, for the contents of this month’s box, it’s worth every penny!

Like I mentioned I received the Lip Factory Beauty Box within 3 days of being contacted…I was really impressed by how quickly it shipped. And the packaging was simple and chic, I loved it! Check out the goodies inside…

The Pillow Box – May 2013

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I know I did…I enjoyed great company and ate myself silly, lol. I even had a chance to play around with some of the goodies from the May Pillow Box, that actually received about two weeks ago. I’ve been so busy with the kiddos and their end of the school year stuff that I haven’t had a chance to share it with y’all.

Each month, well except last month when I was M.I.A., I blog about Free Beauty Events, which is an awesome site that offers tons of info about all things beauty related. And as the name also suggests, you will find a listing of all the FREE makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. And finding out what events are going in your area is easy….just head over to Free Beauty Events, enter you your zip code here and a list of FREE events will appear. Below are a few events you may find…

Rite Aid Winter Skin Event going on March 16^th where demonstrators will be performing skin care demonstrations and educating customers on Olay Regenerist, Dove Body Wash, and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It’s a great opportunity to score free samples and coupons as well.
Also in March, Ulta will be having their Yes To Event, where demonstrators will be giving out coupons and sampling Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment, Yes To Tomatoes Daily Balance Moisturizer, Yes To Cucumbers Body Butter, and Yes to Cucumbers Towelettes.

And if you have an event that you would like to see listed on Free Beauty Events site, it’s easy too! All you have to do is submit a form and your event will be listed on the site for free. In addition to listing events, Free Beauty Events gives it’s readers a chance to win prizes each month. Check it out…

Yay! I finally received the first My Shade of Brown Pillow Box for 2013! And I’m excited to share with y’all what was inside. If you are not familiar with My Shade of Brown let me give you the scoop…they a monthly subscription service. Basically My Shade of Brown sends out 4 to 5 premium sized beauty samples each month enclosed in their signature Pillow Box. I love blue eye liner because it’s a fun way add a pop of color to your everyday makeup look to spice things up. Have you heard about Free Beauty Events? If you’ve been following The Savvy Housewife for a while then I’m sure you’ve seen my previous post but if you are new then let me tell you all about Free Beauty Events.

First let me say, I love freebies, samples and giveaways! And Free Beauty Events offers all of that and more. Their site provides a listing of all kinds of free events; like makeovers, gift with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events offered by local retailers/salons.
