Whew! It’s December already and the countdown to Christmas and New Year’s is in full effect! Can you believe it?
Well, this week’s mani is inspired by Black Friday, which I’m aware was last week…better late than never, right? I had every intention of polishing my nails on Thanksgiving eve but totally lost all track of time. I ended up putting off until I just didn’t feel like doing it at all. *sigh* But despite my busted nails I did enjoy myself. I had an awesome Thanksgiving break! It’s always a good time when you spend it with family and friends.

Here are few outtakes from Black Friday…the inspiration behind this week’s mani.
What are you rocking on your nails this week? Did you go out on Black Friday?
It’s that time of the month again…if you’ve been following the blog for a while then you are quite familiar with the Free Beauty Events postings. I say it all the time, but it is truly one of my favorite things to post about. I’m a huge fan of freebies, giveaways and samplings….I speak from experience when I say companies love giving stuff away in hopes that you will fall in love with their products. And what makes Free Beauty Events so awesome, is that their site is totally dedicated to providing you with the details of all of the free makeover, gift with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening near your area.
For example, in June you can take advantage of the CVS P&G Event. Makeup artists will be giving FREE makeovers with the latest CoverGirl products, giving away samples and coupons. Also in June, the CVS L’Oreal Haircare Event features free samples and coupons from L’Oreal’s new Advanced Haircare line. This is a great opportunity to see which products work best for you! Information like this is available on the Free Beauty Events website where spas and retailers can promote their events. And anyone who would like Free Beauty Events site visitors to know about their beauty event can make a posting for free on our site at here. To find out if an event will be near you, just enter your zip code in the upper right hand corner of the Free Beauty Events home page.
Now I mentioned that I loved giveaways! And guess what, in addition to listing to free events, Free Beauty Events gives it’s readers a chance to win monthly prizes. For the month of June 2013, we will be giving away 10 prizes. Each prize will consist of Yes to Cucumber Facial Towelettes, Yes to Tomatoes Daily Pore Scrub, Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15, and Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment. The Contest runs from 6/1/2013 to 6/30/2013, winners will be chosen on 7/2/2013 and notified by 7/15/2013.To enter, all you have to do is go here and supply your name, email (only used to contact winners), and zip.
I hope y’all enjoyed your Mother’s Day weekend. I had a chance to visit my folks and my grandparents which is always a treat. Since I was out-of-town, I didn’t get a chance or even feel like doing anything extra special with my nails. I ended up rocking a pretty neutral nail polish…a little on the blah side and not really worth sharing in my opinion. So this weeks MANICure Monday post is going to be a little different. I’ve decided to share the mani’s that didn’t quite make the Just Another MANICure Monday list for whatever reason…
This is one of my favs and I’m not sure why I never posted it.
Can you see the purple glitter?
This mani was a complete fail…smh
My St. Patrick’s Day Mani
I’m not sure what I was trying to do here, but I like the color combo.
MANICure Monday is a weekly nail polish/mani link-up that is rotated between Mimi of Lipgloss and Binky and Effie Lynn of LA Lynn’s. This week you can head over to LA Lynn’s to see more fab mani’s.
What are you rocking on your nails this week? Do you have a fav mani color? Did you do anything special this weekend?
I’m finally a cool kid! I’m a Julep Maven! I’ve been dying to try out this monthly subscription service for some time now and I finally, well randomly signed up. Be on the look out for a full review next week.
Well of course I couldn’t wait to try out my new polishes…in fact I tested them all as soon as I opened my box. Yep, I’m like a kid at Christmas, lol. I ended up going with the pinkish, lavender shade, Simone. And of course I had to add a little extra. Check it out…
What are you rocking on your nails this weekend? Are you a Julep Maven?
