Free Beauty Events

If you follow me on FB or Twitter then you already know how much I love freebies! Samples, sweepstakes, giveaways…I love them all and I love sharing them! So that is why for several months I’ve been sharing the Free Beauty Events with y’all. If you have been a Savvy follower for a while, then you are all too familiar with Free Beauty Events. If not then check out the most recent post here.

Free Beauty Events is a great site that features FREE beauty events, like free makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events held at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. You can find out what events are happening in your area by simply entering your zip code here…a list of the current FREE beauty events will appear. It’s so easy and worth it if you’re a beauty junkie like myself. Below is an example of what you may find…

December 15th at all Walgreens, you can try the latest Sally Hansen products for their SaturDate with Beauty! From 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., Beauty Advisors will be showing customers how to apply Sally Hansen’s new InstaGel Strips, as well as giving away $2 coupons.
On December 22nd, also at Walgreens, there will be a SaturDate with Beauty for Coty fragrances. Beauty Advisors will be giving away samples of David Beckham Homme, Shakira Elixir, Shakira Florale, Playboy VIP, and $1 coupons for any Beyonce or David Beckham fragrance. And, there is a free gift with purchase, a free Shakira purse with any Shakira purchase. This is a great time for customers to get help picking out a fragrance for the holidays.

You can find more information about events like these and others by checking out Free Beauty Events. And if you host/demonstrate free beauty events at a local spa, salon or retailer you can have your event featured on this site too. All you have to do is submit a form and your event will be listed on the site for free. What makes Free Beauty Events one of my favorite sites is that in addition to providing a listing of all of the FREE events it also gives it’s readers a chance to win prizes each month. Check out what they are giving away this month….

For the month of December 2012, Free Beauty Events will be giving away 10 prizes! Each prize will consist of Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara (one of my favs), Bio-Oil, and Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Overnight Hydrating Cream. The contest runs from 12/1/2012 to 12/31/2012, winners will be chosen on 1/1/2012 and notified by 1/15/2013. To enter,all you have to do is go to Free Beauty Events and supply your name, email (only used to contact winners), and zip.

About a month ago my girl Mo of Curls and Mo tagged me in a tweet about a Blogger Box Swap Party sign up happening over on Keep Sitting Pretty and Melissa Chanel. After clicking the link, I thought “wow what a fun way to mix & mingle with other bloggers and score some cool stuff too!” So I immediately signed up! A few weeks later I got an email from Melissa of Melissa Channel stating that I was chosen as one of the bloggers…I was super excited! This was going to be my first Blogger Box Swap and I couldn’t wait to find out who I was paired up with.

Well about week after receiving my confirmation email, I received an email from Kelly of Keep Sitting Pretty with my Blogger Box Swap buddy’s information. And guess who I paired with??? My girl Mo…I laughed because the entire time I was thinking who coincidental and funny it would be if we had gotten paired up. One, we already know each other via social media and emails. Two, we have been working together for several months as natural hair staff writers for Longing4Length. And three, I like to think of her as one of my virtual BFF’s (if there is even such a term) because she has been super supportive since we virtually met months ago through Bloggers Like Me. Needless to say I was thrilled to be paired with Mo! I immediately started working on her box and you can check out what I sent her here.

I was so excited when I my box from Mo came in the mail, y’all know I opened it immediately! She sent me some awesome goodies…see for yourself.

I love all of the goodies that Mo sent. But if you have been following my blog for a while then you know how much I love Shea Moisture products and I have been dying to try out their body scrubs…so those would have to be my favs!
