Hair Update: Marley Twist Rant

So if you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook then you know that I recently installed Marley Twist. I’ve been wanting to experiment with different protective styles and I thought this one was absolutely gorgeous! Check out the video to see my take, thoughts and recommendations on the style.

What do you think about the Marley Twist? Would you rock them?

Shoe Haul – The Hubby Edition

This post is a shout out to the hubs…a few months ago while he was in Phoenix, Arizona he visited Last Chance Nordstrom and brought me back a few goodies. According to the hubs (a fellow bargain shopper), Last Chance Nordstrom is the business! They carry some of the top name brand clothes, shoes and accessories for a fraction of the price. He says its ridiculous! I wasn’t able to find a website but I searched Google and there are few videos out there to give you an idea what to look forward to if you ever decide to visit. Check out the video below to see the fab goodies the hubs scored for me when he went.

Have you ever shopped at Last Chance Nordstrom? What’s your favorite discount retailer?

Quick Twisted Up-do Tutorial

This particular style was inspired by a recent tutorial I saw by MotorCityMoxie on YouTube. This style is super easy, quick and can be altered to fit your personal style. It also serves as a great protective style too and will be a perfect option to try out during the Longing 4 Length Protect Styling Challenge! Let me know what you think…

Milani Clearance Haul

Hey “Savvy Readers!” I went shopping again for makeup at my local CVS and I scored some great Milani products on clearance. And if you know me then you know how much I love a sale. I discovered that CVS had several of the Milani products on clearance from one of my favorite make-up blogs…Nouveau Cheap. She posted a list of items that were priced 75% off but were not marked with any signs or stickers. So I took that list into my local CVS, scanned the items she had listed and as she stated they were on sale…WOOT! WOOT! Check out the video to see what I picked up…

I can’t wait to give these products a try, I’ve heard tons of great reviews on Milani. Have any of you tried their products, if not then NOW would be a great time. =)

Hair Tutorial: Side Bunning

Hey “Savvy Readers!” I’m excited to share with you my first hair tutorial! For those of you that may not know, I wear my hair in it’s natural state or relaxer free. (But I will share more about my natural hair later.) This is my second time rocking this style and I actually wore it the entire weekend…I just love it! It’s simple, funky and cute…let me know what you think. Enjoy!

I’m a finalist…

Hey “Savvy Readers!” I mentioned in my last post that I was about to journey into the wonderful world of YOUTUBE and I must say that I am super excited. Last month I was chosen as a finalist in the “The Next Rimmel 10” competition hosted by Rimmel London. Can you say “AWESOME!” Well, for the first challenge the “chosen few” (twenty to be exact) were asked to create a scandalous head-to-toe look using Rimmel London’s new ScandalEyes Mascara and document the look on video. So I have completed the first challenge and my first ever YOUTUBE video….wooohooo!  From the twenty finalist only ten will move forward and become “The Next Rimmel 10.” The winners will be determined by the number of votes on Rimmel London’s Facebook page. What does it mean to be “The Next Rimmel 10,” you ask? Well, if chosen I would become a Rimmel London brand ambassador which means I would represent the Rimmel brand, try out new/existing products and share my experiences with you on my blog, through Facebook and on YOUTUBE. In addition, I would also have to complete 10 beauty challenges throughout the year.

So “Savvy Readers” I need your help…check out the link below and vote for me! You must like Rimmel London’s Facebook page in order to cast your vote and my name on the voting page is Veronica G. You will also be able to check out my first ever YOUTUBE video and if you like you can subscribe to my channel. Thanks so much for your support and I hope you enjoy the video!

Tribal Print Inspired Nail Polish

This season tribal print is everywhere. And I haven’t had any luck in my search for the perfect tribal print piece, so when I came across this nail tutorial on YouTube I fell in love. What better way to rock a trend then on your nails.

I opted to wear the design on my toes instead of my fingers (I figured it would last longer).

 Here are the results:

Here is a close up of my creation (please refrain from laughing at my toes, thanks!)
