Purex Crystals Aromatherapy Review and Giveaway

I’ll admit it, I’m not a huge fan of doing laundry but it’s one of those things that just has to be done. And since it’s a must, I’m always on the hunt for products (and tips) to help make the laundry process easier. Well, a few years back I discovered Purex Crystals and I fell completely in love with these laundry enhancers! I mean, who doesn’t love a fresh laundry scent, right? And just recently I tried the new Purex Crystals Aromatherapy in Well Being and it did not disappoint.

Why I love Purex Crystals Aromatherapy:

It’s super easy to use! You just simply add it to your washing machine (top load, front load or HE) at the start of the wash cycle and that’s it!
It really eliminates laundry odors. I live in a house with the hubs and three sons, so I know a thing or two about odors…this in-wash scent booster really works! And it’s long-lasting, I can wash sheets and towels using the Purex Crystals Aromatherapy, put them away for weeks at a time and when I pull them out they smell as fresh as the day I washed them.
It’s affordable and easy to find. I’m a very frugal shopper so trust me when I say that this product is affordable. And it can be found at most drugstores, mass retailers and grocery store chains.

The new Purex Crystals Aromatherapy comes in three different scents: Well Being (which I’ve already tried and love), Energy, and Serenity. I’m so tempted to go out to buy them all and my mood (or mood I want to be in) will determine which one I use…lol, anything to help make the laundry process more enjoyable.

Like I said the Purex Crystals Aromatherapy can be found at most drug store stores, mass retailers and grocery stores, so next time you’re out grab a bottle. Y’all know I love freebies and giveaways, right! And if you’ve been following the blog for a while then you know how much I love sharing about Free Beauty Events!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted about them, so just in case I’ll refresh your memory about Free Beauty Events…

Each month Free Beauty Events post a listing of all the free events, like makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. Finding what events may be happening in your area is easy! All you do is enter your zip code over on Free Beauty Events and viola! A list of FREE events in your area will appear.

And if you host free events similar to the ones found on their site you can have you event featured on the there too. And it’s FREE! Just submit a form with your contact info and details of the event. Again viola! Both processes are super easy and did I mention that they were FREE!

But the icing on the cake for me is that Free Beauty Events also gives it’s readers a chance to win prizes each quarter. Check out what they are giving away the first quarter of 2014…

It has been a long time since I posted about Free Beauty Events but my love for the site is still the same. If you’ve been following The Savvy Housewife then you are quite familiar with Free Beauty Events. But here’s a quick refresher on why I love the site so much…

Free Beauty Events is an amazing site that features FREE, yes FREE, beauty events happening in and around your area. You’ll find events like free makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events held at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. To find out what events are happening in your area simply enter your zip code here and a list of the current FREE beauty events will appear. It’s so easy and if you’re a beauty junkie like myself you will become addicted to this site. Below is an example of what you may find…

During October you can take advantage of the Ulta YesTo event. Demonstrators will be giving away free samples of Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment, Yes To Tomatoes Daily Balance Moisturizer, Yes To Carrots Body Butter, and Yes To Cucumbers.

It’s that time of the month again…if you’ve been following the blog for a while then you are quite familiar with the Free Beauty Events postings. I say it all the time, but it is truly one of my favorite things to post about. I’m a huge fan of freebies, giveaways and samplings….I speak from experience when I say companies love giving stuff away in hopes that you will fall in love with their products. And what makes Free Beauty Events so awesome, is that their site is totally dedicated to providing you with the details of all of the free makeover, gift with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening near your area.

For example, in June you can take advantage of the CVS P&G Event. Makeup artists will be giving FREE makeovers with the latest CoverGirl products, giving away samples and coupons. Also in June, the CVS L’Oreal Haircare Event features free samples and coupons from L’Oreal’s new Advanced Haircare line. This is a great opportunity to see which products work best for you! Information like this is available on the Free Beauty Events website where spas and retailers can promote their events. And anyone who would like Free Beauty Events site visitors to know about their beauty event can make a posting for free on our site at here. Each month, well except last month when I was M.I.A., I blog about Free Beauty Events, which is an awesome site that offers tons of info about all things beauty related. And as the name also suggests, you will find a listing of all the FREE makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. And finding out what events are going in your area is easy….just head over to Free Beauty Events, enter you your zip code here and a list of FREE events will appear. Below are a few events you may find…

Rite Aid Winter Skin Event going on March 16^th where demonstrators will be performing skin care demonstrations and educating customers on Olay Regenerist, Dove Body Wash, and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It’s a great opportunity to score free samples and coupons as well.
Also in March, Ulta will be having their Yes To Event, where demonstrators will be giving out coupons and sampling Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment, Yes To Tomatoes Daily Balance Moisturizer, Yes To Cucumbers Body Butter, and Yes to Cucumbers Towelettes.

Y’all know that I’m a huge fan of freebies and giveaways of all kinds…that’s why I absolutely love Free Beauty Events. Each month they post a listing of all the free events, like makeovers, gifts with purchase, spa open houses and sampling events happening at various local beauty retailers, spas and salons across the US. To find out what events are going on in your area, just head over to Free Beauty Events, enter you your zip code here and a list of FREE events will appear. Below are a few events you may find…

On January 19^th, check out the Rite Aid Winter Skin Event at select stores. Demonstrators will be educating customers on Olay Regenerist, Dove Body Wash, and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
On January 26^th, Walgreens will be having their Glamour event in select cities. Demonstrators will be talking about the latest Tresemme products like Split Remedy Sealing Serum and Platinum Strength Heat Protect Spray. At some of these events there will also be hair stylists giving complimentary hair styles with the Tresemme products.

So that is why for several months I’ve been sharing the Free Beauty Events with y’all. If you have been a Savvy follower for a while, then you are all too familiar with Free Beauty Events. It’s so easy and worth it if you’re a beauty junkie like myself. Below is an example of what you may find…

December 15th at all Walgreens, you can try the latest Sally Hansen products for their SaturDate with Beauty! From 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., Beauty Advisors will be showing customers how to apply Sally Hansen’s new InstaGel Strips, as well as giving away $2 coupons.
On December 22nd, also at Walgreens, there will be a SaturDate with Beauty for Coty fragrances. Beauty Advisors will be giving away samples of David Beckham Homme, Shakira Elixir, Shakira Florale, Playboy VIP, and $1 coupons for any Beyonce or David Beckham fragrance. And, there is a free gift with purchase, a free Shakira purse with any Shakira purchase. This is a great time for customers to get help picking out a fragrance for the holidays.
