Just Another MANICure Monday: Matte me Crazy with Glitter

I hope that everyone had an awesome weekend. As for me, I didn’t get into much; the highlight of my weekend was Saturday, I spent the majority of the day relaxing in my PJ’s…feel free to judge as you please. LOL

So with all the free time lounging around I brainstormed a few mani ideas and decided to try out my NYC matte top coat again. This week’s mani is totally inspired by Mimi of Lipgloss and Binky, who also co-host Just Another MANICure Monday with Effie Lynn of LA Lynns. If you’re wondering what Just Another MANICure Monday is, I posted about it here and here. I’ve been having so much fun participating! Well, a few weeks ago Mimi used the NYC matte top coat over polished nails with glitter for her mani…the results were too cute and I decided to give it a try.

What I used: Sally Hansen Ring-a-Ding; Sally Hansen *can’t find the name*; NYC Matte me Crazy Top Coat

I’m not sure if you see the way the glitter just pops against the matte polish but I love the effects, even the hubs thought is was pretty cool. So this look is definitely one I will be keeping in the rotation. And if you still haven’t tried matte polish then you should; the NYC brand top coat is less than $3 bucks and worth every penny. Mimi is the hostess for Just Another MANICure Monday this week, so head over to her blog for more nail inspiration!

Have you tried anything new on your nails lately?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there is just something amazing about matte and glitter together. But I love glitter on any occasion LOL! I love your color combo too. Great look 🙂

Isn’t the sparkle against the matte just fab! I haven’t seen the Sally Hansen in that color. I love their brush and the fact that it really only takes one good coat makes it a best seller in my book!
