Matte Me Crazy

Hey Savvy Readers!

You know how much I love nail polish from my previous post and about three weeks I read on Nouveau Cheap that NYC had added a few new polishes to their line. Now the one that caught my eye was Matte Me Crazy. This mattifying top coat can be applied to any nail polish, trust me I couldn’t resist testing it in my car right after I purchased it and I wasn’t wearing an NYC brand polish. It took me three weeks to purchase it because I was a bit hesitant about matte nail polish trend. I had seen several pictures of matte nail polishes on pintrest, Facebook and other blogs yet I wasn’t quite sold on the look. But I was strolling through Tarjay, one of favorite places, and decided that I would give it a tgo. And for the price, $1.99, combined with Tarjay’s awesome return policy I couldn’t go wrong. So after giving it a try I must say that I am impressed, not only with the look but with the quality. The Matte Me Crazy formula wasn’t thick like some top coats and it applied easily. Plus I was surprised by how quickly it dried too, which is plus for a busy mom like myself. Take a look for yourself…

I hope that you can see the mattifying effect from the pictures. Like I said, I was very impressed with the NYC Matte Me Crazy top coat. I think it will add and pair nicely with my other polishes. And the best part is this top coat is priced less than $2 (and if you are lucky you can find a coupon for NYC products making it even cheaper.) Have any of you tried matte polishes or the NYC Matte Me Crazy? What are your thoughts? Until next time…

I just did a post on my blog last week about how excited I was to come across this matte polish. I love it! The end result was exceptional in relation to the cost.

I agree! I love staying up to date on all the latest trends/styles but I’m a stay at home mom on a budget. So be able to get this for less than $2 and being able to use it on nail polishes I already own is a win win for me. =)
