February Wows!

Hey “Savvy Readers!”

We have come to the end of February and have stepped into March. February was a good month…my son celebrated a birthday, there was Valentine’s Day and I did a little shopping, so no complaints here. I wanted to share some of my “WOW’s” from this past month. I swear that sometimes it really is just the little things in life that make you smile…

Homemade cupcakes for my son’s birthday, he loved them! And I finally got a chance to test out my decorating kit. Cupcakes + ice cream = yummy goodness!

This body butter smells delicious! I purchased this Coconut Dead Sea Body Butter from Big Lots and I must say that I am impressed. It works and smells great. Don’t sleep on Big Lots! Oh, and did I say it smell divine? =)

This has to be one of my favorite nail polishes (thanks Mom)! It is Eternal Optimist by Essie and this was my go to color all month. And it looks amazing with a glitter top coat too. I just love it!

I had schnitzel (pork, schnitzel to be exact) and man oh man was it tasty! Trust me, the picture does not do it any justice. My hubby and I had a chance to enjoy dinner without the kiddos, so we decided to hit up Ol’ Heidelberg Cafe. The restaurant had been highly recommend and it did not disappoint. So if you are ever in “The Ville” (as my husband calls it) then you should put this on your list of spots to hit up. And the German Chocolate Cake was yum-yum, yummy!

And my favorite thing of all, that absolutely melted my heart…

A hand-made Valentine’s Day card from my son. He is one of the sweetest kids I know. I jokingly said to him, “wow, you didn’t make me a card or anything for Valentine’s Day?” And he responded with, “You never know, you might get a surprise!” And sure enough when I wasn’t expecting it he handed me this card. I was tickled pink…I love that kid!

Like I said, it really is the little things in life that make you smile. My February was great and I hope that your month was too. I’m soooo ready for spring with all this warm weather we have been having lately. I’m hoping we can make through March without any more cold snaps. And as always please leave your comments, questions and requests below or send an email to thesavvyhousewifeblog@yahoo.com. I would love to know what WOWed you in February. Until next time…

Stay savvy!
